Father & Sons Cleaning Completes Post Construction Clean-up For New Janesville Fire Station

Janesville Central Fire Station

The city of Janesville started the discussion of a new fire station in 1994 and 22 years later, the new, $9 million, 31,500 square foot Central Fire Station along Milton Avenue is now completed. The new facility replaces the previous 58-year old station and offers a step up in first class services, size and operational capability.

Features of the new station includes:

  • Drive through bays that will connect with major travel lanes along Milton Avenue
  • Training space, a conference room and a full command office to coordinate major emergency responses.
  • Gender neutral accommodations, extra room to hang turnout gear, a decontamination area, and a ventilation system that will rid the apparatus bays of vehicle exhaust.“We were pleased to be selected to complete the construction clean on the project, stated Ron Whitley, President of Father & Sons, LLC. The biggest challenge for us was washing 566 windows; overall, it was a fun project to work on and the final project is state of the art”.
